About Health Wealth & Wellness

Health, Wealth, and Wellness Week is observed to create venues where the community (the constituents of each state) can intimately access the resources of resident businesses, vendors, organizations, government and faith-based entities from the aspect of holistically acquiring Health, Wealth, and Wellness related knowledge, on-site assistance, training, interviewing, activities, and community-business networking. Additionally, the purpose of the initiative is to increase the visibility and awareness of each business, vendor, organization, government and faith-based entity's presence, and the range of services offered to promote community engagement and to increase business/programmatic accruals through the mutual investment of time and resources.

Our Vision

The vision of the Health, Wealth, and Wellness Week is to provide a plethora of resources to the communities that we serve, with the intent to mutually enhance the overall quality of health, wealth, and wellness of the constituents and resident businesses, vendors, organizations, government and faith-based entities.

About MIKE

The American Kidney Fund’s MIKE program (Minority Intervention and Kidney Education) partners with government agencies, community groups and faith-based organizations to provide free health education, kidney screenings and follow-up services for people who are at high risk for chronic kidney disease. MIKE screenings are free of charge. The American Kidney Fund works with local community organizations to plan screenings for neighborhoods with high documented rates of kidney failure. High-risk participants—those found to have indicators of kidney damage—receive telephone contact, a follow-up survey, questions to ask their doctor and a resource list of medical care in the community. The American Kidney Fund also conducts expanded outreach programs in cities around the country.
